Splicing Services
|
The highly trained Salon Electronix four person splicing team will provide prompt courteous and professional service of superior quality 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
Salon Electronix will contract to perform the following tasks:
- Prepare cables for splicing.
- Install splice closure.
- Organize fibers in splice closure.
- Fusion splice fibers and apply protection sleeve or recoat spliced fibers (high strength splicing available upon request).
- Test fibers end to end by OTDR or direct attenuation measurement.
- Seat splice closure.
- Provide end of project including detailed photograph of each splice fusing and printouts of test results.
Salon Electronix utilizes only state of the art fusion splicing and test equipment including:
- Fujikura FSM40S Fusion Splicer.
- Ericsson FSU925 Fusion Splicer.
- Ericsson EFC 11 cleaver.
- Fujikura CT07 cleaver.
- Tektronix TFS3031 TekRanger OTDR.
- Wavetek Wandel & Golterman Laser Source 1310/1550nm.
- Tektronix TOP200 Optical Power Meter.
- AC Generator Honda.
- Air-conditioned Vehicle for Splicing.
- Tool Kit for Cable preparation.
- Heat Oven for Connecterisation.
- Tool Kit for Multimode & Single Mode Cable Jointing.
Should any splice be found to be defective to Salon Electronix workmanship within one year of completion, Salon Electronix will return to the site and repair the splice free of charge in accordance with the above listed work functions.
Each project will be quoted based on conditions on a per fiber spliced basis. Pricing includes all costs other than possible lost time charges.

- Building / Campus Survey.
- CAD diagrams on color print.
- Conduiting for UTP / STP cable.
- Installation of racks, LIU, Junction Box.
- Providing casing, capping & power wiring.
- Pulling of UTP / STP / PIJF cables in building / campus.
- Termination of UTP, fixing I/O boxes & patch mount cords.
